Resellers differ from retailers in that they have different margins of profit and customer bases. Both provide a niche in the marketplace for consumers by making products more readily available, especially those from smaller or specialty companies that might not be as popular or well-known as larger brands.

Retailers and resellers provide beneficial service, whether it’s a shopfront that sells used clothes or an online shop which sells the latest technology. They offer quality products at reasonable prices. They also handle a variety of other sales details like marketing and promotion, pricing, and customer service. They also help to establish relations and establish a reputation among their customers, which could add credibility to individual products.

What is a reseller?

In essence, a reseller functions as a middleman in the purchase of an item from a manufacturer or distributor and then selling it to the user who is making an income. The type of reseller may differ from a single person who sells their old video games and antiques on the side to large companies that sell several lines of clothing and electronics.

There are many different models of resellers, each with its unique set of advantages and disadvantages. Dropshipping is an excellent option for resellers, as it lets them avoid stocking up on goods and still provide high-quality goods to their customers. But the drawback is that the product isn’t under their control and may be difficult to manage in the event of issues with shipments or stock.
