Practices of Pakistani weddings

A pakistani marriage is an occasion that features numerous old-fashioned customs. While most of the situations are similar to Indian celebrations, there are also some that make a pakistani union distinctive. The Nikah, the Islamic marriage festival, is the most significant occasion. In front of a Qazi and the woman’s households, the event is a theological encounter.

The Mehndi evening, which is a night filled with intricate indigo models, is another well-known custom. The bride’s closest woman friends and family members gather to wear henna, which represents elegance and good fortune, on their hands and feet. Mehndi evening is also a moment for song and festivity.

A few days a week before the marriage, the Mayun tradition begins. Close family and friends apply ubtan and crude to the couple’s hands and feet at this women’s sole occurrence. Then they all sing and dance to the beat of a drum called a dholki ( drum ).

After the Nikah, the couple’s property is reached by the Barat, or couple’s march. The bridegroom had been accompanied by his family and friends, either on a mare or in a luxurious vehicle. With dancers, fireworks, and song, this is a very magnificent and festive event.

The Walima, or the bridal reception, occurs after the Barat is over. This is hosted by the couple’s household dating pakistani girls and is a less proper event than additional Pakistani ceremony cultures.
